Assignment Details

• Specialty: Inpatient CDI
• Engagement Type: Full-Time
• Duration: 6 months-perm
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent reviews of inpatient charts
• Conduct a combination of:
  • Re-reviews
  • Final reviews / closeouts
  • New case reviews
• Maintain high productivity standards, including:
  • ~20 total touches per day (mix of re-reviews + closeouts)
  • ~7–8 new cases per day
• Identify documentation gaps and initiate compliant physician queries
• Apply strong clinical judgment to risk stratification and severity capture
• Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to ensure accurate and defensible documentation
• Interpret and apply regulatory and payer guidelines
• Respond well to audit feedback and maintain quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2–3 years of inpatient CDI experience
• CCDS certification required
• Strong experience with:
  • Query creation and escalation
  • Clinical validation
  • Complex inpatient cases

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of bedside RN experience, ideally in:
  • ICU
  • Cardiac
  • Neuro
• Experience with:
  • Vizient risk stratification (strong plus)
  • EPIC Fluent / Direct (bonus)
• Experience in high-acuity environments with complex patient populations

Systems Experience

• Required / Preferred:EPIC (Fluent Direct Tool)
• 3M 360 / Solventum
• Additional exposure to Vizient tools is highly desirable
