New Legislation Passed in India

It’s just a matter of time before off-shore coding will breach hashtag#HIPPA Privacy Rules and hashtag#PHI to the extent that compliance is unattainable – and that timeline seems to be gaining traction.

The Government of India recently passed legislation giving unprecedented authority to government agencies to intercept, monitor, decrypt and seize “any information” generated, transmitted, received or stored on “any computer”.

In the wake of an increasing challenge to protect our patient records here in the US, how much longer will authorities permit the lack of oversight residing over off-shore coding?
